The People, Places and Events that Shaped our
Townships History
With Dorothy Kelly, Curator, Millburn-Short Hills Historical
Society Museum
In honor of America’s semi-quincentennial, Dorothy will offer
an educational and entertaining romp through 250 years of Millburn history. The
talk will begin in the colonial period and examine the participation of local
families in America’s fight for independence and their contributions to
Millburn’s early civic development. Renowned sites, including Parsil House, the
Hessian House, and Washington Rock, will be discussed in terms of their
historical significance and the legends they have inspired.
